Mandala of Moments

Movement through time.
Counting each second as we move around
from beginning to beginning.
Cycles.
Change.
Return.
Spiraling upwards through each cycle
Spinning through space.
Moving through change.
Moment by moment.
Second by second.
no stopping......
Making each moment count. Aware of the preciousness of these moments we have in our life. Each morning and each evening, I sat listening to the sound of water and birds, creating mandalas and going within to observe the Inner Self and messages, listening to my inner voice and what needed to be heard.
Observing the "chatter" mind.
And then the still voice in those moments when insight comes, chatter ceases, and "I" come forward. The true inner Self.
Precious moment.

working with shapes

I've been working with the 3 shapes, circle, square and cross. I'm finding it interesting to be "structured" in this way. Staying within some limits rather than being spontaneous.
I chose a card from John Greer's Sacred Geometry deck. The Right Triangle.
I proceeded to create a mandala using just this shape. Every one is a right triangle except around the edges of the circle.
Discipline. Focus. Structure.
It's not my style really... but I think it helped me.
I felt good doing this after awhile. After it was colored in, I didn't really like it, mostly because I could not choose between two different approached and flip-flopped between mirroring and being sequencial.
My sponanteous side needed a part in this and did the patterning and then I liked it much better.
Doing this mandala work has gotten me to go deeper within myself.
It's also addictive :-)
